		<description>These shops are indeed rare. Especially when I was looking for fittings for sash windows - 180yrs old no rot and no drafts. But had lost all their brass fittings.

Farm supply shops still have this sort of service and appearance. Such as in Perth Scotland - Peddies Supplies - you get the goods - a sash weight and some cord in my case and then take your chit into the wood paneled side office to pay.

The big stores have already eaten up the big towns selling us the illusion of choice - only the remote and smaller places to go and that&#039;s happening as we watch.
