I just encountered one of these parked up down the road from us while taking the dogs for their evening stroll.
I have to say that yes – I did burst out laughing. It really is one of the weirdest contraptions I have seen for a while – elegantly beautiful but functionally awkward looking. It is, apparently, a Gilera Fuoco 500ie.
By the way – if anyone is in any doubt – I am talking about the contraption on the left of the picture. I know what the one on the right is – I’ve seen plenty of those before and there is nothing functionally awkward about them.
