I have never been a great fan of ‘The Onion’. I much preferred the sadly long defunct ‘SatireWire’ and when I used to try the Onion I always found the humour to be adolescent and heavy-handed. But their recent item After 5 Years In U.S., Terrorist Cell Too Complacent To Carry Out Attack suggests it’s time to take another look. Very enjoyable!

Ah, the Onion. I don’t know if they were the first to describe the Arc d’Triumph the Arc de Capitulation in honour of France’s long-standing military tradition of capitulating before half time but they certainly did it justice.
I find it too Americanised to read all the time but occassionally it’s good to go back to.
