Oddly reassuring in these days.

I visited with Karen & Guy (in Baltimore!) the day of the Ravens/Colts game - I told them that if the Ravens...gasp...LOST, just think how happy Andy & Judy would be!!!
(The night before, I was at a square dance - yes, I'm a geek! - in Annapolis & everyone was wearing purple! Didn't hit me till about 1/2way through that they are ALL Ravens fans...

Glad you're having fun with the football, even if you are sleep-deprived!

Having lived nearly all my life in the New Orleans area, which means that I suffered the pang of Saints loss year after year for decades even that era where people wore bags over their heads to the games, I'm glad to see them actually winning and in the play-offs but also painfully wincing every time someone talks about it as if it will somehow jinx the whole thing...and the Saints have a history of dropping the ball when they get a little groove going.

Ironically, I moved to Maine in 2004, shortly before the big Patriots Super Bowl win then. What a weird feeling to be in New England where the teams win -- the Red Sox weren't far behind, you know.

Still, secretly, I'm hoping that my hometeam makes it to the Super Bowl and because, well, New Orleans needs it this year. They deserve it.
