OK – this is a rant. Let’s be honest, PayPal is one of those organisations that probably causes rants to be ranted the world over. At any given time of day I bet there is someone in the world having a good old rant about PayPal, face getting red, keyboard straining under the thumping it’s getting, the air blue with expletives. And this is my current PayPal rant!
I’ve only got one credit card as I have mentioned here before. I don’t have any need for more than one and fail to understand why anyone should want more than one. It is a joint card shared by myself and my wife and we both use it a lot. Actually, it’s rare for me to have more than a few pounds of cash on me these days.
So when we changed to a new card provider earlier this year, it meant that we had to re-register the new card with bloody awful PayPal if we were to continue to enjoy their service.
And my wife beat me to it. She got there first. And damn, godforsaken, bloodsucking PayPal wont let me register because the card number is already registered to someone else!
Am I angry? Can you tell? Haven’t the buggers heard about joint accounts?
That is my only complaint about PayPal.
I’ve ran into the problem numerous times–most associated with the fact that i have forgotten my numerous paypal acconts (i have no idea why I did that, but I have about 5 paypal accounts under stupid email addresses). I finally got over it though, consolidated them all. My question is, why is it that your wife and you both have the same card number. In the US, both credit card numbers would be different, thus, could be registered into different accounts–atleast in my case anyways.
Some do, some don’t. Just happens that our current one does! Just my luck ofcourse
I dislike paypal also, funny that I use them for my checkout service on my site lol. I whill switch to a different checkout whenever i find one that is as easy to set up. My account is actually in my husbands name, paypal hates me. Someday, I will find something better.
Try changing country and trying to get them to accept your previously authenticated credit card. Hours of fun.
